Community Cinemas are based around Volunteers. They exist only because of the time that people willingly give not only on the day of the film (on average 4.5 hours per film) but also in all the background work – from administration to shopping. They don’t do it for the kudos but because they honestly enjoy being involved in their community.
We therefore like to recognise when Volunteers hit a major milestone – in our case it’s the number of films which they’ve helped support.
