The entrance is at the top of Chantry Way and can also be reached from the High Street between Raven’s Bakery and The Chequers.

When should I arrive?

Doors open 30 minutes before the film. For Film Thursday, this is 7pm. For Sunday Matinee and our Dementia Friendly screenings, this is 2:30pm.

Arriving early gives you time to find a table, order refreshments and settle in.

Parking

There is no general parking at the Chantry Centre.

There is one Blue Badge space close to the entrance of the building. There may occasionally be other space available for Blue Badge holders, but we cannot guarantee this as we are often not the only users of the hall. Drop-off / pick-up close to the front door is possible, however.

Nearby options include the Iceland car park which is free after 6pm and also at weekends, together with High Street parking.

Accessibility

Access into the building and through to the hall is flat level and step-free.

If you are a wheelchair user and have a preferred seating location let us know and we will reserve space in advance.

A standard disabled toilet can be found on the ground floor. Please note that the present time we do not have a Changing Places facility.

The venue has an induction loop.

We currently do not screen subtitles.

Coming alone?

You will be very welcome. Let a Volunteer know if you would like help finding a table or someone to chat to before the film; our Volunteers are really friendly people!

Coming in a group?

We recommend arriving shortly after our doors open so we can help your group sit together.
