Volunteers are the beating heart of Billericay Community Cinema.
Volunteering is “a feel good moment in time where I know I’ve helped to make a difference to someone’s life, and meeting some great people who feel the same. Love it!!” (Jenny, Volunteer)
Celebrating our Volunteers
Community cinemas depend on Volunteers. They give their time not only on screening days, but also through all the work that happens behind the scenes – administration, film licensing and programming, shopping, stock checks, baking cakes and even washing the the tablecloths. They do it not for recognition, but because they genuinely enjoy being involved in their community.
We celebrate each major milestone, based on the number of screenings a Volunteer has supported, by presenting them with an engraved glass coaster bearing the BCC logo and the milestone they have reached.
