Synopsis

Our Buster Keaton evening with live musical improvisation from professional silent movie accompanist, Costas Fotopoulos.

We start with a short – “The Blacksmith” from 1922 – followed by our main feature, 1928’s Steamboat Bill Jr. Captain Canfield runs an old steamship; J.J.King owns the hotel, bank – and a brand new paddle steamer. Competition is tough. Canfield’s estranged son arrives and its put to work – with the inevitable consequences.
