Breakfast at Tiffany’s was our most complex production to date. We really loved creating our own Tiffany window. It used an old picture frame on which was stuck a surprisingly cheap decal which we’d created of the shop name. Made by Debbie Butcher, the handmade Tiffany boxes were presented to each of our guests as they left – and each contained a little sweet treat! Either side of the window stood two pictures, created by the very talented Jo Adshead. One, a pencil drawing was of “Cat”, Holly Golightly’s companion, and the other was a beautiful acrylic of Holly Golightly.
Simon Houlton entertained everyone prior to the film with his amazing voice – and a lovely rendition of “Moon River” whilst Andrew Schrader returned to give an entertaining and educating talk about the film. As the interval started one of our Committee members, Carl Roberts was surprised (as indeed were the rest of the audience) by a cunningly organised “This is Your Life” ceremony which saw Carl presented with the Billericay Town Council “Citizen of the Year” award 2017 by Chairman Jim Devlin.
Shona, another of our committee members made a stunning appearance as Holly Golightly, enjoying getting into the role, accompanied (obviously !) by one of our cocktails made by barmen Pete Mitchelmore and Billy Humphrys.

Am gutted to have missed my favourite film due to a diary clash. These pictures make it look like it was as wonderful an evening as ever. Hi the art work looks as stunning as always. The window is such a brilliant idea too!!
