It was a lovely atmosphere at Some Like it Hot on the 21st September. “The Big Easy 3” entertained us not only before the film, but also during the interval – and even played a rousing rendition of “Oh When the Saints” at the end as people were leaving.
The film itself obviously went down very well with people – from the very beginning laughter could be heard all the way through to what I think must be the best last line in any movie : “Well, nobody’s perfect!“. The feedback was lovely (a very kind person rated us 11 out of 10 for the evening !)
Despite problems on the railway line (just for a change !) we still had an audience of 61 people, just under our record of 62 at The Big Sleep.
And then of course 3 of our volunteers went “above and beyond” in dressing up – summed up very eloquently by one guest: “As for the ‘costume drama’ during the interval, well, some people love their role in life and I love to share the evening with them! Well done BCC and thank you”
